Today, Jeremy Corbyn introduced an Urgent Question demanding the Government introduce the legislation for the deal. The result? Their UQ caused an hour's delay of the publication of that exact legislation.
Both Corbyn and Ian Blackford of the SNP suggested that the PM's OPINION - yes that's right, his THOUGHTS - could be unlawful. Not enough to send the Benn letter to the EU, he has to 'mean it'. A scary preview of life under any Lab/SNP Government in the future.
I raised the point that if opposition members try to amend the Withdrawal Agreement Bill later this week, they will make it incompatible with the deal we have agreed with the EU. Amendments for a 2nd Referendum or a Customs Unions would make the legislation meaningless, and therefore will only serve to make it impossible for us to pass a deal.
