Guide Dogs

August 1, 2019

The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association recently visited Parlaiment to tell us about concerns at the way guide dogs and partially sighted or blind people are sometimes treated.

Data shows that 73% of assistance dog owners have been refused access to taxis because of their assistance dogs despite it being a criminal offence to refuse access under the Equality Act.

Really grateful to the Association for raising this in Parliament. I'll be sure to make the case for fairer access for the blind and other people with disabilities.
