I met with Phil Gray from the Quarry Neighbourhood Watch group to share updates on the situation with the landslide, both for residents and on what the next steps are for the permanent solution.
By way of an update for everyone, he's shared the following on their community page Quarry Community Neighbourhood Watch (which you should join if you're a resident there):

I’ve just met up with Ben Bradley in the Quarry To get an update on where we are now following the landslide.
Emergency works are now completed and the contractors and council are happy with the temporary works that have been carried out.
I also understand that all residents are back home which is great news.
The challenge now is a long term plan for a permanent retaining wall and a suitable netting/ mesh solution for the quarry bank, the council will be working closely with the contractors to achieve this,
The government will also be engaging in works that are being carried as the cost of works is likely to be in excess of £5 million!
Any issues or if you’re directly affected then please call Mansfield District Council on 01623 463463.
Thanks again for your continued support.
