In more exciting news today, Boris today announced the Conservatives are planning to re-open the railway lines closed during the 'Beeching cuts'.
This will hopefully include the old Robin Hood Line which goes through Warsop, Edwinstowe and Ollerton. This will vastly improve the transport links that will link different parts of Mansfield with the rest of Nottingham.
I have worked tirelessly to get this line re-opened since being elected to Parliament. Before this announcement, we had already worked towards getting plans developed and it is currently at the stage where a formal business case needs to be submitted to parliament by the rail franchisee.
This fantastic news means there will be the funds available to do this much needed project for Mansfield.
I am excited this prospective Conservative government is committed to improving infrastructure in areas all around England when for too long, money has been concentrated in the south.
