Changes to the new deal

Jacob Rees Mogg lays out the substantial change from the previous withdrawal agreement in the chamber, particularly around the Backstop, in a very clear way here that I thought worth sharing.


Along with the removal of the backstop, the new deal entirely changes the end point of Brexit away from Theresa May's proposal to stay in a customs union style arrangement, and instead replaces that end goal with a proposal for a wide ranging free trade agreement with Europe as an independent nation, fully in control of its own rules and regulations
