I enjoyed a visit to DARE during their final session of a week long training programme delivered by Life Skills Charity, as they look to roll out their new scheme to every primary school in the country.
Volunteers have been learning to become officers, who will go out and deliver education on alcohol and drug awareness, knife crime, hate crimes and various other issues.
I was really grateful to have been asked to present the team with their training certificates.
I remember doing DARE at school and, whilst it has changed a lot as times have moved on, these are vitally important lessons to share. I'm really pleased they've secured the funding to expand the training and would like to say another congratulations to the new team!
