As expected, its been confirmed that Nottinghamshire will enter in to Tier 3 of the localised restrictions, along with most of our East Midlands neighbours. This will be reviewed every two weeks and the hope is obviously that we can reduce restrictions and move to lower levels over time, ahead of rolling out vaccinations and ending restrictions altogether in the spring.
I've been clear that I won't back any further increases in restrictions or new national lockdowns. We need to now be planning to open up as soon as we safely can, with the new scientific advances becoming available to help us do that.
